MediaMatters is a fact based organizations as opposed to Breitbart.com, a xenophobic rag.
MediaMatters compared to Breitbart.com. Really?
Democratic Strategist Bill Burton did not let Fox News Megyn Kelly get away with the mother of all false equivalencies, MediaMatters (MM) no Breitbart.com.
It is common knowledge now that Trump’s new campaign CEO is Steve Dannon, chief executive officer of Breitbart.com. In comparing Donald Trump’s association with Alt-Right and Breitbart.com, Megyn Kelly tried to draw a comparison with Hillary’s relationship with MediaMatters’ founder, a pathetic false equivalence. Kelly said every Conservative in the country considers MM a hate organization.
Jim Burton could not contain himself. He laughed uncontrollably then laid it out.
“Because conservatives do not agree with what MediaMatters have on its website does not make it a hate website,” he replied. “It means they disagree with it. But when you look at Breitbart and the way that it is misogynist .. but misogyny and racism are bigger than just political disagreements. ”
Kelly attempted to defend Steve Dannon by claiming his website is successful with a few bad headlines.
Tim Burton fired back, “That offers a venue for racist and misogynist language.”
Kelly then accused MM of calling Donald Trump a recruitment tool for terrorists. Burton had to remind her that the CIA pointed that out and as such it is a factual assertion.
Burton got an important statement of fact about the Democratic Party’s codified values.
“Democrats fundamentally stand against misogyny,” Burton said. “They fundamentally stand against racism.”
