Fmr. Conservative Blogger who hates Clinton tells why first vote as US citizen is for Hillary (VIDEO)

October 25, 2016 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

Former Conservative Blogger Andrew Sullivan showed a hate and disdain for the Clintons that seemed overboard. And yet he intends to vote for Hillary Clinton as he tells folks this is not a time for a protest vote. This interview is stark, poignant, and dark.

Andrew Sullivan expresses disdain for Clinton even as he intends to vote for her

Former Conservative Blogger Andrew Sullivan says he must vote for Clinton for the good of the country; it is not the time for any protest vote.

Brian Williams asked Andrew Sullivan to explain his journey as he moved to supporting Hillary Clinton. It will be Sullivan’s first vote as an American citizen.

Sullivan felt compelled to tell Brian how much he despised the Clinton’s from the days when he was editor of the New Republic and covering the White House in the nineties.

“They are very much the establishment,” Andrew Sullivan said. “They are very much after money. They are very much after power.”

He claimed they threw principles out the window. It is evident Sullivan is attempting to maintain his conservative bona fides even as he does his patriotic duty.

“There is almost no scenario I could imagine in which I might actually support Hillary Clinton for president except this,” Sullivan said. “Because I honestly believe that Donald J. Trump is not just a normal candidate in this election;  that he is a threat to our entire democratic system, that his appearance to the top of the national ticket is probably the gravest crisis in this country’s modern history. And I think defeating him is not just something that we should take as a Democrat or Republican or even as a sort of a way of expressing ourselves. It is a way to say for the moment the very core principles of liberal democracy that he is attacking on a daily almost hourly basis.”

After stating that Trump is a man, who based on his disdain for the press, and the questioning of the election results is basically a tyrant.

“If you are a Libertarian,” Sullivan said. “You cannot think of any single person in contemporary or recent history who is more opposed to freedom, individual freedom, than this man Donald Trump. The only thing he understands is his power and authority crushing whatever threatens him. And so Libertarians need to say, ‘Look, this is not a time to vote for Gary Johnson who seemed to have not prepared any more than Donald Trump has for this campaign. This is the time to vote for the person we cannot stand and cannot even listen to for more than five minutes, have no real regard for, because it is the adult grownup thing to do in a democracy.’ And that’s all I am saying. It’s immature at this point to say I am going to do a protest vote, immature given the stakes that we are in right now.”

Andrew Sullivan wants his cake and eat it too. He will vote for Clinton but wants his sect to know it is a sacrifice for country and not a sweetening to the Clintons. Yes, he is still shackled by the Right.
