Morning Joe: ‘Full-blown meltdown’ if Trump appoints ‘loyalists that have said some crack-pot things’ (VIDEO)

November 18, 2016 By Egberto Willies

If Conservative Joe Scarborough is concerned about a full-blown meltdown by the current Trump selections, equating their utterances as crack-pot, it should give us all pause.

Scarborough warns against appointments causing a full-blown meltdown

Joe Scarborough warned Donald Trump to select competent people to important positions after his appointment of several that were less deserving. During the panel discussion, Katty Kay pointed out that Trump was bringing in loyalists instead of the most talented and experienced. She suggested that if the reach out to Mitt Romney is real, then it would be a positive.

“We are living in a world of crisis,” Kay said. “And some of the people like Michael Flynn that he has brought into the White House are hot. … You need a little bit of cool to moderate that. Mitt Romney would signal to the world that there was somebody there who was measured and was going to, not necessarily do things out of some ideological conviction.”

Scarborough replied that Trump is the disrupter in the middle and does not need the likes of Bolton and Giuliani in disruptive orbit.

Later on, he got a bit more real.

“There is a cumulative effect, Nick, of all of this,” Joe said. “There is the Steve Bannon controversy that blew up. It seems to be dying down a bit. But now you have General Flynn with some insensitive remarks. And we know Jeff Sessions coming up most likely for Attorney General said things in his past that were racially insensitive as well. And you create again this narrative that continues to move forward. I have no doubt that Flynn was going to be picked. And I don’t think anybody else did either. And I think Sessions is going to get whatever Sessions want. But again, I think this underlies the point that if you are going to get a couple of loyalists that have said some crack-pot things in the past, you sure as hell better have some steady hands at State, at Defense, and at Treasury or this goes into a full-blown meltdown.”

So who is Joe Scarborough talking about? Who are Trump’s most recent reported appointments?

trump appointments, lt gen mike flynn, rep mike, pompeo, sen jeff sessions

Lieutenant General Mike Flynn appointed as National Security Advisor. This is a man with a lot of baggage. He is the guy that tweeted “Fear of Muslims is RATIONAL.” And his son and chief of staff is a conspiracy theorist.

Congressman Mike Pompeo (R-KS) appointed as CIA Director. All one need to say here is “Benghazi.” It should have made this position incompatible with Pompeo based on his subjective factless points made during the investigation.

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) as Attorney General. All people of color should be very concerned about this one. One can say goodbye to the Trump administration ever standing up for voting rights. Sessions could not get confirmed back in the 80’s for a judgeship because of his blatant racism. But he will likely get confirmed as our new President has made racism, sexism, misogyny, and xenophobia vogue again, a return to the past.
