On a day when a terrorist attack occurred at an Ariana Grande concert in the United Kingdom, this story is appropriate to quell the backlash that is bound to occur against ‘brown’ Muslims throughout the West.

Devon Arthurs a white Islam convert said he killed two of his white supremacist roommates because they disparaged his newly adopted religion. This story is not getting any significant coverage in the mainstream media.
The short story is that like his three other roomies, Arthurs was a white supremacist. Unlike his roommates, he recently converted to Islam. He explained to Tampa police why he killed two of them as follows.
“When he was detained Friday evening (May 19), defendant Devon Arthurs claimed that the two roommates that he killed were neo-Nazis who disrespected Arthurs’ recent conversion to Islam,” a Tampa police report obtained by Heavy says.
The Tampa Police Department has shared the information with the FBI
Devon Arthur’s third roommate, Brandon Russell, was not home when Arthur killed his other roomies. In fact, he found their dead bodies. Later police would find bomb-making material and chemicals in Russell’s garage.
FBI and Tampa Police Department officers found a cooler containing a white cake-like substance in Brandon Russell’s garage, underneath his apartment, that tested positive for hexamethane triperoxide diamine, which is a precursor to several different types of explosives. … Also found in the garage were empty 5.56-caliber bullet casings with fuses that agents say could be used as detonators of the HMTD. …
Inside Russell’s bedroom, they found a framed photograph of Timothy McVeigh, who was convicted and put to death for bombing the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. They also found Nazi/white supremacist propaganda, according to the FBI complaint. While in his bedroom, devices used by police bomb technicians alerted to the presence of radiation sources — thorium and americium.

First, we have a white man who converted to Islam and who murdered two roommates who disparaged the religion, a man who does not fit the profile of people Trump want us to fear. Second, we have a white supremacist with bomb-making chemicals. Third, the white supremacist roommate may have radioactive material to make the device a dirty bomb.
In other words, this one incident had the possibility of having two very nearly undetectable terrorist acts conducted by men who do not fit the profile of people our president demonizes. Is it not ironic that the president who professed a hate for Muslims was in Saudi Arabia appeasing an oppressive monarchy and several tyrannical dictators from the Muslim world.
This story presents the perfect narrative to illustrate why profiling based on who looks characteristically Muslim is foolhardy and ineffective. It does not work. Terrorism is not a race or ethnic thing. It is a crime thing.
