Joe Biden has another Freudian slip – Poor kids are what?

Biden is prone to the Freudian slip. Many understand that Joe Biden may be a good man but just not up for a presidential run especially in the era of Trump. The powers-that-be may want to be very careful in their Joe-coddling as it could ultimately lose us the White House.

The Joe Biden Freudian slip about poor kids

So what did he say and what did he mean?

“We should challenge these students,” Joe Biden said. “We should challenge students in these schools; to have advance placement programs in these schools.”

“We have this notion that somehow if you are poor,” the former vice-president continued. “You cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids, wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids.”

Joe Biden tried to correct the Freudian slip but one wonders what is going on in that head. This slip by itself should be an oversight. But when other Biden statements are taken into account, one is left with questions about his true beliefs on race.

What associations were occurring in Biden’s head? One’s first association of items and issues in one’s head best defines ones current predispositions. Biden is from a different time and it will show more and more as the campaign season heats up.

Stop making a big deal of what he said regarding poor kids and your reference to a Freudian slip. What has Freud’s tenets regarding that even come into play in the context of what he said. I’ll translate his meaning for you as an inner city teacher for 30 years, retired now. Being poor does not mean you are not equal to the task. Given the same economic support system and exposure that a family able to sustain a higher income level on a steady basis does. It’s called feeling secure. The powers-that-be you refer to coddling who are they? If every voter keeps their eyes and ears open to the rather obvious behaviors and traits of our current president, Joe as a choice could never lose us the White House. Any of the Democratic candidates running for the office of President have the moral fiber and dedication to doing the best possible job for our country to thrive. I see no con jobs as we have been given with this administration and Republican Congress who have been cowards in fulfilling their duties to their constituents.

Kelly, I do not think I am making a big deal out of it. Look, Biden is not my candidate. That said, I refuse to bloody him up with my commentary because there is a small possibility he will be our nominee. I will vote for him then. But based on all the information I have on him which I am sure the Trump folks have more, he likely won’t win even as he is more moral than Trump. Americans discount Trump’s lies and immorality. They likely won’t do so for Biden. Not fair but real.

His statement taken on its own is not worth making a stink over. However, he has a pattern when dealing with race. I think more of his supporters should consider looking at him through the eyes of those of us who do not fear a Democratic Progressive candidate messaging to all Americans and through the eyes of those of us who does not appreciate the epidemic of his racial condescension.

And he should stop leaning on the statement that Obama chose him. Obama chose him to complete the job, appeasement to those who know Biden was just like them and as such voting their interest and not their fears was OK this time in their eyes.

Egberto-He is not my 1st choice either, mine is a woman with a man of younger years as VP but I feel I can be open to understanding more broadly what he meant by his statement and if he was chosen I would vote as you would for him.
