Racist Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) evokes lynching at Anti-Asian American Violence hearing. “No Apologies”

March 18, 2021 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

Texas Republican Congressman Chip Roy exposed his true racist feelings unapologetically today at the Anti-Asian American Violence hearing.

Congressman Chip Roy made it clear he is a racist

Chip Roy made his racist comments and comments that seem to encourage violence at the House Judiciary Committee hearing, which was originally scheduled to address the large increase in anti-Asian hate crimes and violence recently. After doing the customary acknowledgment that the murders by a 21-year-old white man of 8 people, including 6 Asian American women, were a tragedy, he went on a hateful diatribe,

“The case we are talking about here the tragedy we just saw occur in Atlanta, Georgia,” Roy said. “I would also suggest that the victims of cartels moving illegal aliens deserve justice. The American citizens in south Texas, they are getting absolutely decimated by what’s happening at the southern border, deserve justice.”

What kind of justice is he talking about. Are there dead Texans, Arizonians, Californians, or New Mexicans?

He also had to put his Confederate modal on display. Is this not a lynching threat?

“We believe in justice,” Chip Roy said. “There is an old saying Texas about find all the rope in Texas and get a tall oak tree. We take justice very seriously.”

Later, New York Democratic Congresswoman Grace Cheng rebuked the Texas Congressman.

“I want to go back to something that Mr. Roy said earlier,” Cheng said. “Your president and your party and your colleagues can talk about issues with any other country that you want. But you don’t have to do it by putting the bullseye on the backs of Asian-Americans across this country, on our grandparents, on our kids. This hearing was to address the horror and pain of our community and to find solutions. We will not let you take away our voice from us.”

Of course, the congressman later responded with a statement. Within it, he said, “No Apologies.”
