CAUGHT: Donny Deutsch slams Sen. Blunt for his sly use of Stacey Abrams’ race in Manchin critique

It did not go past Donny Deutsch. Sen. Blunt used a sly racial influence as Manchin showed support for the voting rights bill.

Donny Deutsch exposed the Senator Blunt

See full episodes here.

Senator Manchin has recently given the impression that he may be willing to support more extensive voting reforms. Senator Blunt did not take kindly to that.

“I actually think when Stacey Abrams immediately endorsed senator Manchin’s proposal,” Senator Blunt said. “It became the Stacey Abrams substitute, not the Joe Manchin substitute.”

That statement was a targeted bullet and Donny Deutsch got it.

“Just want to comment on one thing,” Donny Deutsch said. “Stacey Abrams and she’s such a class act. And she wouldn’t answer your question when you said, ‘Why is Roy Blunt, you know, trying to assign the Voting Rights Act to her and not to Joe Manchin.’ Because she’s a black woman, and it’s that simple. And it’s just and what’s so offensive about that beyond the obvious racist undertone to it is the assumption of the stupidity of voters. They understand who’s bringing this bill, and there’s a difference between somebody who’s coming forward, a progressive, respected woman who’s coming forward endorsing it, versus the one who’s bringing it to the table. Shame on you Roy Blunt

Former Senator Claire McCaskill tried to defend Blunt. She said he is her friend. As she tried to defend him she realized the futility in doing so and admitted she was trying to defend him because he would have done the same for her.

But McCaskill made a prescient statement at the end. The aggressiveness with which Republicans have attempted to suppress the vote will backfire. I think 2022 will be a surprise blowout for Democrats.
