Freedom Caucus member Rep Bob Good talked over Katy Tur as she attempted to correct his lies on tax cuts and the debt ceiling. Well, we have the virtual receipts to debunk the GOP’s lying myths.

Bob Good appeared on MSNBC with Katy Tur and attempted to bully her as he lied about the value of tax cuts, the debt ceiling, and much more. He is a member of the Freedom Caucus. When asked if Republicans are willing to raise some taxes to help mitigate the deficit. He said that was not on the table for discussion. In other words, he is willing to let children starve instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes. After all, society does much more for them than they do for society in the aggregate. Unfortunately, we have been taught to discount our worth relative to that of the wealthy.
When challenged about the statement from the Congressional Budget Office that made it clear that tax cuts exacerbate the debt, he spoke his biggest lie as he tried to parrot economist Arthur Laffer. He claimed that the Trump tax cuts created the necessary economic activity to bring in more revenue than the tax cut. It is a big lie that the included clip of a congressional committee hearing proves. The entire piece dismantles MAGA Republican Conservative orthodoxy.
Republicans’ cavalier behavior with regard to the debt ceiling debate is unconscionable. It is time for President Joe Biden to invoke the 14th Amendment.
