Corporations are sitting on billions of dollars (some estimate the real number is in the trillions if expatriated monies are counted). If this money was invested in America it is estimated it would create 2.4 million jobs. Instead companies are claiming uncertainty is preventing them from taking action. While the article below does an excellent job in defining the culprits of misinformation, I think it gives the mainstream media a pass. The mainstream media must accept responsibility for their ineptitude. Fox News has big numbers on cable. It seems like all the other channels in order to attempt to garner some of those […]

Excellent article that needs to be read. I think most in the black community understand that as President , President Obama cannot attempt to institute race specific policy. All good policy will help all Americans alike. Where there are race/culture specific systemic disparities, it is incumbent on leaders in the community to work within the […]

It is funny that I came across this article. I was actually thinking about writing it today after listening to Romney declare today that President Obama wanted to “take the work out of welfare”. Reversal of said programming will be difficult however it […]

Dominique Dawes, the first black gymnastic gold medalist is interviewed about Gabby Douglas’ accomplishment. In the interview she says she will be happy to remove the statement from her website that says that to date she was the only black gold medalist. Gabby took it one step further in joining the American Individual All Around  […]

I will be accused of partisanship for this blog post title and this post in general. Unfortunately the statement is absolutely true. The two articles below give the statement context and proof. I am waiting for the day when we can have fact based discourse where we give Americans the true choices of ideologies and […]

UPDATED: 2012-08-06 Let me be clear, Gabby Douglas achieved an accomplishment that very few women in the world have achieved. Foremost I was elated that an American won the all-around gymnastic title. I would be lying if I did not admit that I felt an extra bout of pride that she is black given that […]
