Every American Worker Must Fight To Be In A Union Lest We Lose The Middle Class To Overseas Slave Labor And Depressed US Wages

Labor Union

After doing some research on unions this blog post brought back memories. One sometimes wonders why it seems like after making progress, after fighting and bleeding for access to opportunity for a better life, it is never long lasting.

This is likely explained because history is hidden in plain sight. It is not a cliché to say if we do not know our history, we are likely to repeat the same mistakes again.

Americans are allowing our politicians to redefine what is best for us. They are able to do this because we have allowed them to. We have allowed them to because many times we have forgotten our history.

Every American who has a 40 hour week must thank the labor movement. Every American that works a comfortable 8 hour day must thank the union. Every American that works in a safe environment must thank the union.

Yet if we listen to comments by Governor Nikki Haley (R-SC) and observe anti-worker actions by Senator Corker (R-TN), they would have you forget that unchallenged and unregulated corporate rule was never the friend of the working man.

Watch the short take below in its entirety. Fact check it online and with your own mind. Evaluate your own condition and the conditions of those in your family. Ask yourself why over the last 30 years with the institution of supply side economics (voodoo economics), low taxes on corporations and the wealthy we have had a decline in middle class wealth and income as the top 1% and 2% are skyrocketing. Ask yourself why are non-union workers made to believe that union workers are not deserving of their generally higher wages while not revolting against the corporate masters earning hundreds of times more. In other words, why must the middle class fight each other for crumbs as the corporate masters take the steak and potatoes?

The fight must not be union versus non-union fighting for crumbs. It must be middle class fighting for their fair share of the pie.

WAKE UP AMERICA.

ALL MIDDLE CLASS WORKERS MUST UNIONIZE
