Kay Hagan (D-NC) and others now running on Obamacare successes (VIDEO)

Democrats like Kay Hagan that feared Obamacare now see benefits of running on it

Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) found out that she will be running against Thom Tillis. The race will bring a contrast like no other. North Carolinians will have the choice between the establishment candidate who adopted the Tea Party ideology to win and a conservative Democrat.

It was thought that most Democrats, especially those in the South would run away from Obamacare as if it was the plague. It turns out that is not the case.

This week Senator Kay Hagan came out in full support of the Medicaid expansion to Obamacare. She is all in. She pointed out that the governor of North Carolina, Pat McCrory R-NC), in refusing the Medicaid expansion to the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), has left 500,000 North Carolinians uninsured.

Senator Kay Hagan pointed out that the first three years of the Medicaid Expansion to Obamacare cost the state absolutely nothing, zero dollars. Thereafter the state’s cost is only 10% while the federal government pays 90% of the cost.

Melissa Harris-Perry had a very fact based discussion on the Medicaid Expansion to Obamacare that should be watched. It puts the issues on the table in a concise manner. It illustrates the immorality of not expanding Medicaid. It points out that above and beyond all, the Obamacare is working. It has lowered readmission rates in hospitals by over eight percent. It has already bent the healthcare cost curve. It has dropped the level of the uninsured to the lowest level since the data have been tabulated.

It is time to move forward. It is time to penalize those that oppose Obamacare to ensure the damage, the fiscal harm, and the death sentence it has placed on millions of Americans are no more. It is time for Americans to stand up for social, economic, and medical justice. Healthcare is a human right.
