Watch Rudy Giuliani slammed by Michael Eric Dyson for racist comments (VIDEO)

Rudy Giuliani inner racist sentiment exposed

Rudy Giuliani allowed his inner prejudice to reign on Meet The Press with Chuck Todd. Professor Michael Eric Dyson did not allow him to get away with it. He pointed out the false equivalency. Unfortunately Professor Michael Eric Dyson did not have the full complement of facts to debunk the false equivalence of Giuliani’s comments.

“We are talking about the significant exception,” said Rudy Giuliani about the killing of Michael Brown by Officer Darren Wilson. “Ninety-three percent of Blacks are killed by other Blacks. I would like to see the attention paid to that that you are paying to this.”

Rudy Giuliani needs an education in reality. Both he and Michael Eric Dyson needed to have read Matthew Yglesias’ piece titled “White-on-white murder in America is out of control” the false equivalency busting reality and context.

Yet the disturbing truth, according to the FBI’s most recent homicide statistics, is that the United States is in the wake of an epidemic of white-on-white crime. Back in 2011, the most recent year for which data is available, a staggering 83 percent of white murder victims were killed by fellow Caucasians.

This is not to say that white people are inherently prone to violence. Most whites, obviously, manage to get through life without murdering anyone. And there are many countries full of white people — Norway, Iceland, France, Denmark, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom — where white people murder each other at a much lower rate than you see here in the United States. On the other hand, although people often see criminal behavior as a symptom of poverty, the quantity of murder committed by white people specifically in the United States casts some doubt on this. Per capita GDP is considerably higher here than in France — and the white population in America is considerably richer than the national average — and yet we have more white murderers.

To understand the level of cultural pathology at work here, it’s important to understand that 36 percent of those killed by whites are women — a far higher share than you see with black murderers

The pathology of Black on Black crime seems to be rooted in male gang violence. The pathology of White on White crime is different and finds women disproportionately murder victims. It is evident it would not have been difficult to check Rudy Giuliani’s words, the prevailing misleading narrative, against reality.

Michael Eric Dyson did remind Rudy Giuliani that Blacks who kill Blacks or otherwise, generally end up in jail. White officers who murder Blacks generally do not. These are irrefutable facts.

Rudy Giuliani rambled on to make many more offensive comments.

  • “The white police officers wouldn’t be there if you weren’t killing each other 70-75% of the time>”
  • “What about the poor black child that is killed by another black child? Why aren’t you protesting that.”

Rudy Giuliani and his ilk have been so comforted by the Fox News bubble that they seem impervious to the caustic nature of their discourse outside of that domain. They no longer have a decency filter.
