This week’s show

This was a very busy week. It was a very political week. I spent over five hours at the University of Houston where a group of congresspersons were purported to discuss coming up with a legal redistricting map in Texas with input and concerns from the community. As one of the speakers said, it was a sham firstly because it was held on a hard to access site where parking had to be paid for. Secondly it was held on a week day during working hours for most. Gerrymandering in Texas has been so efficient that the Texas delegation no longer represents the population, neither culturally or philosophically.

President Obama seemingly caved under the pressure from war hawks that are looking for the next war to keep the military industrial complex flushed in profits and influence. It seems we are about to progressive get more involved in Syria. We continue to invest in destruction instead of human capital and infrastructure capital, things of real value that help the many as opposed to the few.

Texas Governor Rick Perry vetoed a bill meticulously crafted by Representative Senfronia Thompson to ensure fair wages for women in Texas. This bill had bipartisan support but Lord Perry killed it.

Thee are national implications to these and many stories below.

Please call in and add to the discourse civilly.
